Abbotsholme Parents’ Association organised a highly entertaining and successful Burns Night at Abbotsholme School on Saturday 22 January 2011.
Parents and friends of the school came to listen to and celebrate the work and life of Robbie Burns. Bill Melrose, a visiting Scott and friend of Abbotsholme was Master of Ceremony and the haggis was addressed and duly stabbed with an original Skein Dhu by Mr White.
After the supper, a Ceilidh called by Mr Palmer and accompanied by the band 'Wallop the Cat'.
All enjoyed the evening and the final renderings of Auld Lang Syne were emotional and raised the Lindsay tartan to the rafters.
