School Play - Oliver

This year’s production of Oliver Twist has been one of the most successful productions ever thanks to a mixture of fantastic cast and technical team.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed putting together the show even though we were short for time.

There were some comical moments when Mr Bird got over-excited with the smoke machines.  There were some outstanding performances from the senior members of the cast; Rob McKenzie being particularly scary in his role of Monks.  Josh Wirz played Fagin with great characterisation and enthusiasm.  A big well-done to the younger cast for being so committed to the late nights and long days of rehearsals.  This production wouldn’t have been half as good if it hadn’t have been for the huge efforts of Mr Bird and, of course, his tantrums and injuries.

The costumes looked fantastic thanks to all of Mrs. Donnachie’s hard work.  The whole cast is very proud of the final outcome of the production and we look forward to what next year’s play will bring.
