On Monday 7 November 2011, Year 5 and 6 travelled to Manchester to visit the Imperial War Museum North. The museum is housed in an impressive building designed by Daniel Libeskind.
The children made use of the exhibits inside to learn about the Second World War. The exhibits look at many different aspects of war and the children found them interesting and
informative. They were particularly moved by the Big Picture Shows where images, lighting, voices and sounds are combined in a dramatic and engaging way to encourage debate and discussion about issues at the heart of all wars and conflict.
