We are back at Abbotsholme, Rocester, Staffordshire (near Alton Towers) for one of our fabulous residential courses for young flute players this Easter holiday. If you are aged between 8 and 18, from Grade 1 to post grade 8 standard you really should come along to this very special event.
Flutewise parents have said that one residential course is equal to 6 months of flute lessons. Come and have loads of fun with the Flutewise team and special guests and improve your flute playing skills beyond belief.
This course is only open to flute players aged between 8 and 18. Flutewise members who have attended our courses regularly in the past and are over 18 are welcome to contact Liz about the possibility of attending in a helping role. We run a varied timetable with lots of flute playing activities as well as social ones. A big part of the course is aimed at improving flute playing and performance skills, in a fun way. Course members will have the opportunity to play in large and small ensembles; work with a pianist on a piece they know well and have the opportunity to perform it; attend workshops and recitals given by our special surprise guests.
We will have plenty of recreational activities, on past courses we have had talent shows, karaoke, discos, parties, rounders matches, walks, quizzes, games, DVDs - who knows what we might dream up for this course! The course is run by Liz Goodwin assisted by members of the Flutewise Team and special guests. All adults involved are CRB checked, approved by the Flutewise Trustees and suitably trained. Please contact Flutewise if you have any queries.
