This week the Year 10 GCSE Performing Arts groups have completed their first big, group assessment piece for their coursework. The students were put into groups of four and asked to perform extracts of John Godber’s modern classics ‘Bouncers’ and ‘Shakers’. These infamous plays are notoriously difficult to perform well, as actors needs to multi-role, and keep up with Godber’s trademark fast pace and brutal humour. The plays were a huge success and may have given some inspiration for this year’s Summer Gathering Rose Yard plays! Watch this space!
