On Wednesday 2 May, Abbotsholme is giving parents of secondary age children the chance to re-live their school days by experiencing life as an Abbotsholme pupil.
Starting at 1.00pm with a three course school lunch, parents will have the opportunity to take part in classes of Maths, Science, Drama, Outdoor Education and Life, finishing with drinks and nibbles at 5.00pm. Whatever a parents academic or physical ability, they are guaranteed to learn and have fun!
Many parents remember boring lessons at school, sitting for hour after hour without moving. This is not the way at Abbotsholme! Whatever a child’s academic ability, they leave Abbotsholme with far more than just an impressive clutch of GCSE’s and Alevels; pupils regularly exceed their academic potential. Children acquire skills and strengths which equip them for success and happiness in life and in the workplace. Skills of leadership and team working; qualities like honesty, integrity and courage and a firm set of values which places hard work, community spirit and self-motivation high on the agenda.
With a working farm, equestrian centre, theatre, and large music, outdoor education and sports departments, pupils experience an all round holistic education, and the challenge of an active educational programme which includes regular field trips and experiential learning activities.
