Today the infants had their first lesson at Kayaking. Helly
our OEd instructor went through the
safety rules with us and fitted our life jackets and helmets. Helly showed us how to get in correctly and use our
knees to help us balance. We used our arms as a paddle and were soon going
confidently across the school pool, the next
challenge was to capsize and Helly was very
impressed that all the children had a go at it.
When the children got
back in to school the noise from very excited children was amazing with them
all wanting to relive their first experience at Kayaking. Thank you to
Abbotsholme OEd team for providing a
wonderful morning. Only one child was heard
shouting May Day!
