On Monday the Sixth Form and Year 11 had a talk by strength and conditioning coach Nick Grantham. The London Olympic Games will be his fourth games, having started with the gymnastics team, and later coached the wheelchair basketball. He will be training the British Women’s Olympic Basketball Team
this summer.
He revealed much about his life, from his education, his time as an international taekwondo competitor and his career as a coach all over the world, but would not reveal Mr Wilson’s nickname from university. He did show a photograph of Mr Wilson at university, but few people recognised such a beardless image. Overall, it was a story of hard work, dedication and inspiration, which was very well received by the pupils.
