Reception class, with the help of Kayleigh in Year 12, have been playing Bingo! There are lots of skills we can practise whilst playing Bingo such as listening, being attentive, speed counting, matching objects to numbers, one to one correspondence and subitising. One to one correspondence is pointing to one object at a time as you count. Subitising is the ability to instantaneously recognise the number of objects in a small group without the need to count them e.g. we instantly recognise 3 dots on a dice as 3. The competition was fierce but in the end the winner was Harry.
