Water Games Activity

Aimee, Mikah, Georgia and Milly in Year 7 have organised a ‘Water Games’ activity for the Lower Sixth to raise money for charity. Year 7 have one lesson per week developing a deeper understanding of the Round Square I.D.E.A.L.S. (Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service). Recently Year 7 have been tasked to work on ‘making a difference’ projects. This particular event has developed leadership skills and supports the ‘Water Aid’ charity as an act of service.

The four Year 7 students have organised and sourced everything themselves. This afternoon the Lower Sixth assembled on the sports field and paid to engage in water fights, apple bobbing, water slides and sponge throwing. Refreshments were sold from the Sports Pavilion. Mr Shaw and Mr Jones are to be commended for being brave enough to be pelted with cream pies and wet sponges. Thanks also go to those parents who have helped provide the materials. So far, around £50 has been raised with more to be collected tomorrow.

Well done Mikah, Milly, Georgia and Aimee for efficiently organising such a fun event.
