Anglesey Adventure - 11 - 13 June 2010

On Friday the 11 June 2010 a group of Year 9 pupils set off to Anglesey for a weekend of adventure. They arrived at camp shortly after 9.30pm, set up their tents and got their head down in preparation for a long day.

Thankfully the sky was clear and the sun was shining on Saturday morning, so the group set off to the coast. When the pupils arrived, they kitted up and began the 40 metre abseil into a little cove, under the watchful and curious eyes of the seals in the bay. All pupils completed the abseil with little fuss, some overcoming their fears, most noticeably Ella Pownall and Katey Gardiner. The group then swam through a sea cave and began their traversing around the coast, the whole group worked really well and finished the day with some jumps into the sea.

Sunday saw the group rise early once again and set off for some more fun. The group traversed and climbed up a very tight squeeze and then completed a 45 metre abseil. The whole group worked really well all weekend and fun was had by all.
