Year 9 Adventure Weekend

A wet, wild and windy forecast meant that the weekend plans had to be changed, but we still managed to have an adventure. Saturday was spent battling our way up the Geirionydd Gorge, climbing waterfalls, sliding down slabs, sitting behind waterfalls and investigating old mines. After the morning of embracing the water and weather, we went to an indoor climbing wall to go bouldering where pupils managed to completely tire themselves out. However, there was still some energy left to go to the beach in the early evening, and then complete an exposed and intimidating abseil on the Sunday.

Pupils should be very proud of their resolve, tenacity and determination to give the challenging activities a try, and accomplish success along with feelings of joy, as well as the memories of some incredible experiences.
