Students in the Sixth Form at Abbotsholme belong to one of the four pastoral houses. As the eldest members of the school community they are expected to take on leadership roles within the school. This may be in the form of heads of school, prefects, helping with prep school numeracy and literacy sessions, organising and delivering events for visiting schools and helping to run the farm, especially during the lambing season.
The Head of Sixth Form oversees the academic progress of all Sixth Form pupils and is situated right next to the Sixth Form Centre with a study room adjacent for supported study.
With up to 60 pupils in the Sixth Form, class sizes are small and Housemasters/Housemistresses, tutors and the Head of Sixth Form work closely to ensure pupil well-being is at the heart of academic success.
