Students Take on 60km Challenge

to Support Cancer Research

Two Abbotsholme students, Head Girl Miya and Prefect Emma, are demonstrating outstanding commitment to service by fundraising for Cancer Research UK through a personal running challenge.

Over the course of this month, the girls are aiming to run a combined total of 60 kilometres, raising both funds and awareness for the charity. The initiative was entirely student-led, with Miya and Emma independently planning, organising, and committing to the challenge.

This inspiring effort reflects Abbotsholme School’s ethos of service, which encourages students to develop into conscientious, compassionate young people who understand the importance of contributing positively to society.

We are immensely proud of Miya and Emma for their initiative, determination, and generosity, and for embodying the values at the heart of the Abbotsholme community. Their efforts are a powerful example of how young people can make a meaningful difference through commitment and kindness.

If members of our community would like to support their efforts, donates can be made via their Just Giving page linked here: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/emmas-giving-page-326819477
