Scholarships
To be awarded an Abbotsholme Scholarship is a significant achievement and one that pupils and families should be proud of.
Scholarships are available for pupils joining Abbotsholme from Year 3 through to Sixth Form. While we are proudly non-academically selective, we believe every child has unique strengths and talents that deserve to be recognised, encouraged and celebrated. Scholarships are awarded annually across four broad pathways:

- Sports - including Equestrian
- Creative Arts:
- Music
- Art
- Design & Technology
- Photography
- Performing Arts
- Agriculture
Reflecting our holistic approach to education, these Scholarships recognise not only achievement, but also promise, dedication and the potential to thrive within our distinctive school community.
Awarded in open competition and solely on merit, they celebrate pupils who demonstrate passion, commitment and exemplary character, with Scholars expected to act as role models and make a positive contribution to the wider life of the School as well as their chosen area of excellence.
How to apply for a scholarship:
Scholarships at Abbotsholme School are available to both current and prospective pupils, from Year 3 through to Sixth Form, either as day or boarding pupils.
1. Register Your Interest
Families should begin by registering their interest in an Abbotsholme Scholarship by contacting our Admissions team at admissions@abbotsholme.co.uk.
Following this, applicants will receive further information about the scholarship process, key dates and any route-specific requirements.
2. Prepare Your Application
Depending on the scholarship pathway, applicants may be asked to provide supporting references, school reports, examples of work, portfolios, performance records or a sporting CV.
Candidates should also prepare for any written assessments, practical trials or subject-specific activities that form part of the scholarship process.
3. Attend Assessment Day
Applicants will be invited to attend a Scholarship Assessment Day at Abbotsholme, giving them the opportunity to experience the school environment whilst showcasing their strengths, potential and enthusiasm within their chosen discipline.Assessments are carried out by the relevant Head of Department alongside the Headmistress.
- Scholars at Abbotsholme are expected to embody exemplary conduct and serve as role models within our community, making significant contributions not only to their area of excellence, but to the entirety of the school.
