Open Events

There is no better way to get to know our school, than seeing it in action. We host a series of open events throughout the academic year, and we are proud to open our doors to anyone interested in discovering the advantages of an Abbotsholme education. 

Abbotsholme also encourages individual visits to school, where our Registrar will provide a comprehensive tour of our campus, introducing your family to our Headmistress and the relevant Head of Year. 

Open Morning 

We hold whole school Open Mornings in the autumn and spring term. Our next Open Morning event will be in Autumn 2024. Our Open Morning welcomes prospective pupils, along with their families to our school for a pupil led tour with our Sixth Form Prefects. Open Morning is the perfect opportunity to meet our teachers, learn more about our curriculum and explore our beautiful 140-acre campus. 

Open Doors Day 

In addition to our Open Morning events, we also hold an Open Doors Day on 2 – 3 occasions of the year. Open Doors Day takes place during a ‘normal’ school day and invites prospective families to observe lesson time and get a real feel for the school day at Abbotsholme, watching our teachers in action and be amid the atmosphere of our tight-knit community. Our Headmistress, Heads of Year and other members of staff are also on hand between lessons to meet with families.  

Scholarship Days  

Abbotsholme School is proud to award scholarships for excellence in Academia, Performing Arts & Music, Sports & Equestrian, Art and Agriculture. We host a Scholarship Day 2 – 3 occasions in the year, inviting current and prospective pupils as potential scholars and they discover more about our bespoke scholarship opportunities. 

Our next Scholarship Week will be held from Monday 25th November - Friday 29th November 2024.

Taster Days 

As part of the admissions process, we ask all prospective pupils to join us for a Taster Day, which offers prospective pupils the independence to experience our school and immerse themselves in a normal school day. On Taster Days, prospective pupils are buddied up with a current pupil from their year group, who is responsible for getting them to where they need to be throughout the day. The Taster Day also gives our teachers the opportunity to observe your child amongst their peers during lessons and to understand whether Abbotsholme School is the right fit for them, putting their needs and happiness as a priority. We also offer overnight stays for prospective boarders to experience boarding life at Abbotsholme. 

Tours
