Cedarholme
Cedarholme aims to create a 'home from home' for its boarders, promoting a strong family atmosphere, providing unwavering support through its dedicated house parents.
Cedarholme boys’ boarding house is home to a mix of full, weekly, and flexi boarders from the ages of 9 – 16. Our younger boarders, board in twin bedrooms on our junior corridor, which includes their own bathroom facilities, kitchen and common room, while our senior boys, up to Year 11, reside upstairs. Each morning and evening, we come together as a house for registration.
At Cedarholme, we promote a sense of responsibility from an early age, and the boys are encouraged to take ownership of domestic tasks such as keeping tidy the social spaces within the house, as well as their own rooms. Cedarholme aims to create a secure and nurturing environment for its boarders, promoting a strong family atmosphere.
Boarders are supported by a house parent, an assistant house parent, and a team of duty staff who provide a schedule of after-school activities and academic support. Experienced boarders have the opportunity to become in-house leaders, offering guidance on all aspects of boarding life to junior boarders.
As a community, we engage in and encourage a variety of activities and trips, fostering camaraderie and shared experiences. We celebrate individual passions and achievements in Cedarholme with termly certificates and end-of-term trophy presentations, recognising the accomplishments of our boarders throughout the term.
